The Lost Technology
During the 1920's a group of writers known as " The Lost Generation" gained popularity. This kind of phrase was used to describe the folks of the 1920's who declined American content World Warfare I values. The three best known writers among the list of Lost Technology are Farreneheit. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway and Ruben Dos Passos. World Conflict I appeared to have damaged the idea that should you acted virtuously, good things would happen. The heroes in this story represent the many different attributes of the Shed Generation. The main character and narrator Nick sees the corruption from the wealthy, he is stuck between the corruption of his rich friends and his own probe. At the end he sees where corruption prospects " Thus we defeat on, motorboats against the current, borne back ceaselessly in to the past. ” (Fitzgerald 180) He sees how injustice this world may be and movements back home to get started on a new lifestyle again.
Ben and Daisy Buchanan, Nick's cousin and her spouse, are two of the most snobbishly wealthy persons Nick knows. Jeff and Daisy are Fitzgerald's main rendering of the meaningful decay of times. They randomly float about because they may have no purpose. They do whatsoever they do and go where ever they go mainly because nothing is expected of them. Once Nick views Tom initially he says " Now two shining arrogant eyes had...
