Forming: Roles and duties not clear, everyone unknown to one another. Meeting group members. Storming: everyone has distinct point of views on distinct issues. Chances are they decide which that you choose. People complete for consideration. Norming: Develop a mutual plan, generate guidelines in order to make rule for themselves. Performing: Reaching the goals the group has set.
Adjourning: Finishes task.

Tuckman's model can be linear; many more say the procedure he details is cyclical. The model below takes into account movement backwards and forwards through the periods. Small groups do appear to follow a expected path.
